Eng. Mubarak Al-Khafra is a Saudi industrial engineer born in Al-Ahsa. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the United States in 1973 and a postgraduate diploma from Canada in 1976. Al-Khafra has held several high-ranking positions in the industrial and electricity sectors in Saudi Arabia, including being a member of the Shura Council (1997-2001), Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Electricity for Industrial Affairs (1985-1997), and Secretary-General for Foreign Investment in the same ministry (1976-1983).
Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for National Industrialization Company (Tasnee) and Chairman of the Al-Khafra Group of Companies. He is also a board member of various prominent companies such as Gulf Chemicals and Industrial Oils Company, Saudi American Business, and the German Business Association for the Near and Middle East.
Al-Khafra has previously played influential roles in major companies such as SABIC, National Glass Industries Company (Zoujaj), and National Chemical Industries Company.
