King Salman Center for Disability Research Signs Cooperation Agreement with "Kafaat Al-Maarefa" and "Tamars" Companies Aiming to Provide Human Resources Within the Social Investment Localization Program

On Monday, January 20, 2025, the King Salman Center for Disability Research signed a cooperation agreement with "Kafaat Al-Maarefa" and "Tamars" companies. The agreement aims to support the Social Investment Localization Program. The signing ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Nonprofit Foundation, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Center for Disability Research. Also present were Eng. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Hassani, CEO of Dammam Airports Company; Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Hilal, Chairman of Kafaat Al-Maarefa; and Mr. Faris bin Saran Al-Shammari, Chairman of Tamars.

Under the agreement, 20 employment contracts will be provided to support the Sensory Room project at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. This project is dedicated to serving travelers with disabilities at the airport.

On this occasion, Prince Sultan bin Salman expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince (may God protect them) for the care and attention the government gives to individuals with disabilities and their diverse needs. He also praised the positive role of the private sector in supporting and enabling nonprofit organizations to fulfill their responsibilities toward society, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 programs.

Ms. Khulood Ibrahim Al-Shaya, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Center for Disability Research and Manager of the Sensory Rooms Project, emphasized that this partnership reflects the close cooperation between the private sector and the nonprofit sector to improve services for various community groups, including people with disabilities. She extended her gratitude to Prince Sultan bin Salman for his continuous support and follow-up on initiatives that serve people with disabilities.
